Florence Fairs

If you are interested in participating at the numerous fairs in Florence, we suggest you to visit the complex called Firenze Fiere where are held the most important exhibitions in Florence. The area includes three major building: Fortezza da Basso, Palazzo degli affari and Palazzo dei Congressi.
The exhibition center houses both Italian and international fairs with special interest for fashion events.
The area is very easy to reach. It’s only 100 m from Santa Maria Novella railway station, just near the Duomo, and 5 km away from Vespucci Airport.

The art international handicraft fair, held in Fortezza da Basso between April and May, presents a large number of handmade products including accessories, clothing, jewellery and furniture.
You’ll find also a vast area with traditional gastronomic specialities.
The fair lasts nine days and it’s an appointment that cannot be missed specially for art and craft passionate people.

Salone del Mobile

Salone del Mobile

The salone del mobile is one the most relevant design fair in the country. Held in Fortezza da Basso it shows visitors the latest trend about furniture and interiors and became one of the many well renowned Florence attractions.
You’ll surely find the object right for you choosing between classic or modern ones. It represents also a good chance to look the newest ideas. Inside the exhibition there is also a wine and food area where you can indulge in all kinds of Italian specialities.

The Florence Biennale is held every two years in December in the Fortezza da Basso and gives the possibility to the most talented artists to show their best works. The fair doesn’t have a prefixed theme or style but is open to different works of art.

Organizing several annual events Pitti Immagine’s shows are a reference point for the made in Italy and an international window for fashion. Florence houses five fashion events: Pitti Uomo - Mens Fashion (January and June), Pitti Bimbo - Children fashion (January and June), Pitti Filati - Textiles and fabric collections (February and July) and Pitti Fragranze – Perfumes (September).
